Reconstruction of the Iconic Tower of Piraeus

Electrica participated in the reconstruction project of the Tower of Piraeus, by supplying cables and electrical materials. Our collaborations with top-notch manufacturers enabled us to meet the high specifications of the project, whose pioneering design focuses on the health, well-being, and productivity of the building’s users.

The Tower of Piraeus, standing at 88 meters tall with 22 floors, is primarily intended for office purposes. It spans a total constructed area of 34,600 square meters, accommodating office spaces, retail sections, and dining facilities. The placement of photovoltaic panels aims to provide partial coverage for the building’s electricity requirements. This initiative plays a crucial role in reducing the carbon footprint of the Piraeus Tower and lessening its dependence on traditional energy sources. By incorporating this sustainable approach, the tower demonstrates its dedication to obtaining a Platinum certification according to the LEED international sustainable development standard. Additionally, it marks a significant milestone as Greece’s inaugural digital, as well as WELL-certified, bioclimatic skyscraper.
